Richard Pheasant

Richard is a highly experienced leadership and management trainer with more than 30 years in education, training, and organisational development. Over the last 14 years, he has trained more than 4,500 managers across the UK, Europe, and the Arabian Gulf, with over 95% of delegates rating his courses as Excellent or Very Good.

Before founding Bespoke Business Training Ltd, Richard spent 23 years in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, where he held senior roles in both higher education and the corporate training sector. He served as Head of Training for the Computer Department at a university in Abu Dhabi and lectured in leadership to engineering undergraduates. He later joined Spearhead Training in Dubai as a Senior Leadership and Management Trainer, delivering programmes across industries such as manufacturing, technology, finance, construction, facilities management, engineering, and oil and gas.

Richard brings a practical, down-to-earth approach to leadership development. His training style is highly interactive and focused on real workplace challenges, helping managers learn how to lead confidently, communicate clearly, and support and motivate their teams. Alongside group training, he also provides one-to-one leadership coaching and has delivered ILM-accredited programmes. He remains an active member of the Institute of Leadership & Management.

What drives Richard most is helping managers unlock their potential. He is passionate about giving leaders the tools, clarity, and confidence they need to create positive working environments where employees feel valued, engaged, and supported. Seeing delegates grow in capability and purpose, often within days, is what he finds most rewarding about his work.
